I managed to beat Mario 35 before it was taken down!
This might not seem like much to you, but I have to add that I've never actually beaten the original game. Guess what my next project is, now?
Also, can I just add that the whole "taking the game down" idea is the most annoying marketing stunt I've ever seen. In the last week or so before the game ended, players around the world collected a total of more than 500 million coins in the game. The "challenge" was 350 million, and we got over 500. That should be a pretty good indication that people are playing and enjoying the game, and that it will be missed when it's taken away.
I miss it already. It's been such a huge part of my gaming life these past few months, and there's nothing else to take its place right now.
But: I beat it, and I'm happy about that!
