Mini World Cup note
Sunday, June 17th, 2018 13:45Know what I don’t like about the World Cup? The fact that it brings out the negative feelings as much as the positive ones. During the regular season, I don’t have to focus on teams or players I don’t like unless they do anything that is directly impacting what I love. Here, though, every match and every goal matters, and everything is potentially related to everything else. That’s the beauty and the curse of such a tournament.
So far I’ve had more reasons to be angry than to be happy. And our press aren’t making it better by repeating Messi’s missed penalty over and over. I know it’s just the first round of matches, but seriously, so much annoying crap has happened already during these first days. I don’t think I have to point out exactly what, but saying Portugal and Croatia should be more than enough.
Argentina better shape up for the next match.
And thank you Uruguay and Denmark, for bringing at least some joy to my heart. ARG - URU - DEN is my order of priority during this tournament, though. Of course it’s logical that the draw happened to the most important team in my heart - the one I’ve loved since I was 12 years old or so.
