Fandom Snowflake Challenge - Day 1

snowflake_challenge several times in the past. However, it always ended there; with just the thought of joining the fun. This year, I want to take part, and I'm excited to see all the challenges, and find out which ones will appeal to me. That said, this is the first one:
First of all, hello and happy Snowflake Month to old and new friends. I'm Zimena, in my 40s, from a town on the southern coast of Norway. I'm currently mainly into Genshin Impact, and might possibly get into Baldur's Gate 3 once I've had more time with the game. My journal is not purely a fandom space, though. I'll be happy to connect with new friends this way, and I tend to post about whatever matters to me at any given moment. That mostly means sports, music, languages, games or random little things from my personal life.
My fandom home is sports RPF. My older fics are almost exclusively football slash, but nowadays I don't follow football in the same way anymore. I still tend to think slashy thoughts about sportspeople I admire, though - skiers and snooker players, mostly. I hardly ever write anything truly explicit, but I might touch on some controversial topics at times - unhealthy and dangerous relationships, abuse and emotional manipulation, to name a few. In short, my mind can be a rather dark place, and I tend to like fictionally hurting the ones I love most - be it athletes or game characters. I tag and/or use fic headers to the best of my ability, though.

Wicked_Northstar, but I also post fics to this journal. In some cases, I might even post them exclusively here, if I get too shy about AO3 for some reason.
My current favourite ships are all from Genshin Impact. I'm a Cyno/Alhaitham shipper, and I also got into Neuvillette/Wriothesley after Fontaine released. My first Genshin ship was Diluc/Kaeya, and I admit that I still have a lot of love for them, even though they're not at the forefront of my mind anymore.
If you were going to argue with me about anything of what I like, I'll just kindly show you to the door over there. I'm in my fandoms and on DW to have fun and make friends, not to argue or participate in any sort of fandom or shipping war. On the other hand, if you find something you like in my journal, or if you realise that we have something in common so that you would like to get to know me better, I'm always happy to hear from you. Yes, that applies even if you come across one of my old posts - it's never too late to leave a kind comment.
