I don't even know how to write a proper DW post anymore. There's so much on my mind, but once I sit down to write it, it just won't come out of my fingers.

But, first of all: Moving is happening. I have my own flat now. It's 64 square meters, and it's beautiful and lovely and convenient. Some features:

* Entrance hall with a little nook with space for hanging up outdoor clothes. Also a nice space for something to sit on while putting on/off shoes or jacket. Shelf above, for hats, scarves etc.

* Little storage room next to the entrance hall. Space for a freezer, plus nice for getting the vacuum cleaner and other "necessary but boring" items out of the way, probably.

* Bathroom that covers the area between entrance hall and bedroom - meaning it can be entered/exited from both sides. Very, very convenient. The bathroom is 100% accessible, too, with shower corner on floor level, and with space for my own washing machine without covering up floor space that's needed for free movement.

* Nice bedroom with two built-in cupboards. Space for my bed under the windows, and for my clothing drawers along a longer wall. Maybe there's space for another small chest of drawers in a corner, but I'll see about that.

* There are two sliding doors between the bedroom and the main room. Basically, you can keep them open if you want, or close one or both if you prefer that. Each door covers half of the opening, so it's a nice and big opening if you decide to not close it off.

* The main room has one strange flaw - there are no light sources in it. Yes, there's a nice, big window and a door to the veranda, but just daylight is not going to be enough in the darker months. This is fairly easily fixable, though - I even have a lamp I can use, once I get someone to take it down/put it up for me.

* Other than that, though, the main room seems lovely. There's even a nice corner that fits perfectly for my computer desk. I have a hard time picturing how everything will look once it's furnished, because right now there's not much there at all. (Most furniture will be put in at the beginning of next week. The guys who work at the second hand shop nearby will help me move everything).

* There is a tank/gas station just across the street from my veranda. I quite like having this view, because there are always things going on there, even though the street outside is otherwise fairly quiet. Also, the veranda is small, but not tiny. I think I can fit two chairs and a small table out there, if someone wants to sit there with me. Or maybe a more comfy outdoor chair for myself on warm summer evenings? We'll see.

* Oh, I almost forgot - the kitchen is amazing. It's connected with the main room - opposite side of the veranda. It doesn't come with any appliances pre-installed, so I have to buy both a stove and a fridge. There are nice spaces for both things, though - including smart solutions for the wall sockets (inside nearby cupboards that have a hole in their side walls for putting the plug through). Other than that, the kitchen workbench is at a suitable height for someone who mainly sits down to work. And there are also two drawers on wheels instead of cupboards under the workbench. These can be easily moved wherever it's more convenient to have them, and I love them already.

I'll probably post some photos once I have more stuff in place. Right now, there is exactly one piece of furniture in there - a chair so that people don't have to stand for the whole time if they're coming to help me with stuff. Other than that, I also put a few minor items in cupboards and drawers, but actually "moving in" won't start to feel like a possibility until I have most furniture in place. Even then, I might still have to wait a bit to get a bed, so that I can sleep there properly.... but I'm doing some things every day, and it IS actually happening now.

I'm so happy!!!

... and then, ten seconds later, I'm scared as well. But I guess that is normal.

I'm moving to my own flat, though. I can't believe that this is happening, now!
