For the first time in my life, I've been to look at an apartment today. I had been looking at it for a while online, but that's of course quite different to seeing the real thing. The good stuff first: Nice, big veranda, spacious living room, with a nice corner where it would be possible to make a computer/office space, beautiful kitchen in a separate room (not just in a corner of the main room/living room), entrance hall and one bedroom with wardrobe space included. Also nice: Low monthly costs/rent, but still with TV and Internet costs included.

Then, the less good stuff: TINY bathroom which would have to be completely remodelled to be usable for me. This in itself is majorly off-putting, as I cannot live somewhere that doesn't have a safe and easily usable/accessible bathroom and shower. In addition to that, there's also the fact that the apartment building is from 2001, and things like windows and doors and floors were supposed to last for around 20 years, according to the official report thingy we got from the real estate agent. So, in 3-4 years' time, there will be quite big costs to replace boring things like that.

I have another apartment I want to go and look at as well, but that won't be today. In any case: I'm finally looking for a flat. Maybe it doesn't mean moving soon, but I'm working on it!
