I'm also getting new glasses in two or three weeks. The thing that has struck me the last couple of times I've been choosing new frames is that after some years of frames being small, now they've veered back to being very big again. I preferred the smaller ones, but you have to take what's on offer, and if I live long enough, maybe the small ones will come back into fashion.
